Does China’s amended rules complicate or simplify a potential TikTok deal?

  1. 3G era American companies try to steal 4G-5G companies from China. If tik tok hold all the technology, just keep the consumers, I don’t think any American companies would be interested.
Without real 5G, know what USA you will need to work hard to rob to steal Chinese companies in the next 5-10 years. The 5G network ecosystem will push Chinese companies to rise to fit the trend and invent more applications and technologies.
    With ecosystem first,then evolution!!

  2. Buy no brainer bullet proof cash rich companies:
I bought Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Wells Fargo, eBay, Netflix, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Intel

The stock market goes up in the long term
because it takes 2 steps forward for every 1 step backward.
Cash is trash, it loses to inflation.

  3. Shame on China for threatening to ruin a good thing. Here we had thought we were going to get Chinese assets at fire sale prices, with the Treasury Department also getting a share of the loot. TikTok and Huawei were only the first on the target list. Congress was going to add other Chinese tech firms, if not the whole kit and kaboodle. It was going to be an old fashioned, hard ball, trade war; the kind the U.S. always excels at.

  4. No, It’s not if China says no. China’s license to sell will be based on the export law. It’s very likely China made this change in order to block the sale but it’s still possible for Tik Tok to change the deal to meet the new export law changes and satisfy everyone. It’s one of the options on the table when a country says, “We’re protecting National Security” but they actually mean it and they didn’t just make it up. Chinese companies use loopholes and change deals to satisfy Chinese laws all the time. As opposed to Trump who is calling out specific companies on made up rules to be sold and is even asking for a Vig from the sale.

  5. what’s important? algorithm or user base? selling user base to US company and keep the algorithm, I am wondering how uber was selling business to local rivals?

  6. Who cares? Tiktok is nothing new, just like Fecesbook is a wannabe myspace with clueless money investors, as is Tiktok is the chinese wannabe version of Vine from last year.

It is not even profitable… customers are mostly kids using it for free, and using tons of HD video which costs chinese owner tons of money! Wake up people.. youtube actually sells ads, tiktok will go away soon no matter what, its clone social media fad
